Services
The Rural Desk is a research-and-strategy shop for the candidates and issue campaigns running where most consultants don't show up — rural districts, small towns, and the counties where progressive infrastructure is thinnest.
Three retainer practices — campaign management, strategic communications, and organizing — grounded in our own county-level research. Every engagement is scoped to the campaign, the timeline, and the team you already have.

Every strategist on the desk is a working rural campaign professional. No academics, no D.C. consultants — just the people who run the field programs, raise the money, and win the campaigns.

Founder · The Rural Desk
Matt has spent the last decade building rural progressive infrastructure as the founder of RuralOrganizing.org. He started The Rural Desk to give the candidates and causes working in rural America the data, research, and on-the-ground strategy support those campaigns actually need — not the urban playbook with the names changed.
